Looking for a creative jewellery making workshop in Glasgow? In this hands-on interlocking ring class at Vanilla Ink CIC, you’ll design and make three silver rings that interlock perfectly, crafted entirely by you!

This beginner-friendly jewellery workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to try jewellery making for the first time, or for makers keen to refine their core techniques. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a beautiful trio of handcrafted rings and the skills to be proud of.

Can I do this class?

Absolutely! This is one of our entry-level sessions. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm and a love of making. And if you’ve already had a go at jewellery before, you’ll still enjoy getting stuck in and progressing your skills.

What happens?

During this five-hour jewellery making experience in Glasgow, you’ll learn how to:

• Shape and form silver by hand

• Anneal metal to prepare it for working

• Solder joins securely

• Saw and pierce accurately

You’ll create three individual rings, then carefully pierce through two solder joins to interlock them before re-soldering. The result is a striking set of handmade interlocking rings… a unique piece of jewellery you crafted yourself!

What do I need to bring?

You don’t need to bring anything with you as we will provide all the equipment and materials needed. Everyone will have their own bench with access to all the tools required to make the rings.

Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.

If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!
