BESPOKE COMMISSIONS

Consultations for bespoke pieces are currently free. During the consultation, drawings and notes of your requested design and specifications will be made. Once you are happy with your final drawing and design specifications for your project, have confirmed via email that all details are correct and that you are ready to go ahead, we can proceed with your order. A deposit is required before the commencement of all bespoke projects and will vary depending on the budget of the final piece(s). The deposit is a percentage of the approximate final costing and will be confirmed when ordering. The deposit is non-refundable. You can expect to pay 20% if less than £1000 and upwards of 25% -50% if over £1,000. Your deposit paid will be deducted from the final balance due. Please note any quotes received are valid for 14 days from the date of issue due to the fluctuations in metal prices. We do reserve the right to change a quote within this time frame if there is a change in metal prices, but this is a rare occurrence.

Once a drawing has been agreed on, the client has to honour this agreement. Vanilla Ink cannot be held accountable for any changes to personal views on reflection after work on the piece has commenced. Please note we will match the drawing as closely as possible when translated into your precious metal jewellery, but please bear in mind that any sketches are just an indication of how the finished jewellery will look- and because the jewellery is hand made and hand-cut, some slight variations from the sketch and the final finished jewellery can occur.

Once an order for bespoke jewellery has been placed and deposit paid, we take this as acceptance of our terms and conditions on bespoke jewellery. No major changes can be made once you have confirmed the design and once you have paid, and your order cannot be cancelled or refunded. Any changes made to an order after acceptance of specifications and payment may incur a charge. No refunds will be given on any bespoke piece of jewellery at any time.

The final balance can be paid in full on completion of work, or split in two.

Alterations made after a bespoke piece has been received will incur an additional charge. Vanilla Ink will be happy to help but this will not be included in your original price.

If you’d like to discuss the practicality and wearability of your bespoke jewellery idea before proceeding, we’re more than happy to help. Please note, jewellery will tarnish over time.

By agreeing to go ahead with any bespoke piece, you accept these terms and conditions
