Harper

A deep heritage of being a working sheepdog runs through Harper’s veins, which often leads her to boop your legs to point you in the direction she thinks you should be going. Unfortunately, she’s not quite received the training to make this properly work yet!

Harper is made up of mainly legs and ears, which means she can be often found looking like a bowl of noodles on the floor after flopping down wherever she feels is best for her… maybe not best for us, though.

Unlike Jess, she’s a little more timid with people, meaning she takes a wee while longer to warm to you. She’s slowly getting better and will love you in the end.

If she’s not nipping Jess’ ears, she’ll be found at Scott’s feet and generally being awkward and getting in the way… she fits in perfectly around here!

Jess

An enthusiastic and vital member of the team, Jess takes her job VERY seriously. Always alert and aware, she ensures that no baddies enter Vanilla Ink and that any person who enters our workshops is NOT A THREAT!

Once past her security checks, Jess ensures that all visitors to VIHQ feel welcomed and comfortable as they enter our doors. She can be a little bit needy but her cute furry face and waggy tail make up for this. Jess began her jewellery journey as a pup and has been constantly beside Scott’s side before she could talk. Loud hammers or torches don’t faze this brave soul as she snoozes away in the corner.

She likes nothing better than chasing something, anything around the workshop and once you commit to the game, she is R E L E N T L E S S. Many have made the error of kicking a ball for her… that’s you best pals for life!

As she is a collie/terrier mix and NOT A SETTER, Jess isn’t too great at making jewellery, however, her energy and devotion to the cause make everyone smile and constantly keeps morale high.

Pablo

Our wee Iberian menace was born in the countryside outside Murcia, Spain with his brothers and sisters. They were street pups and needed somewhere to call home.

After two days on a weird thing called a bus, Pablo arrived in Glasgow where he found a small Irish woman named Annelies. They formed an alliance and have been INSEPARABLE ever since.

Pablo brought Annelies to a place called Vanilla Ink where she has flourished as a jeweller and he trains and practices a wide variety of things. His very favourite thing to do in VI is to remove ALLLLLLLL the stuffing from the giant squirrels they call dog beds. Insides outside, please.

He loves to welcome people to their class but he is really, really good [and loud] at informing everyone when someone is coming in. Terriers are awesome for that.

His favourite past-times are looking out the window, chasing squirrels and playing fetch with anyone who throws the wee thingy for me.
