BENCH RENTAL
Vanilla Ink is located in Glasgow’s East End within Brook Street Studios, which provides us with loads of space and plenty of benches to rent. We give practising jewellers the option of individual studios or a communal workshop with access to tools, equipment, knowledge and a community.
If you’d like to join us here as a VI Resident, please put your name down on our waiting list and when a bench is free, we’ll work our way down until someone says yes! The White Room has a maximum capacity of ten, with the Goldeneye Studio [cos of its lovely paint job] housing another seven jewellers. These communal spaces are the perfect place to begin or further establish your business. Immerse yourself in highly equipped workshops and bounce your ideas off your fellow residents. The studios are light, bright and an amazing place to get your head down to create while connecting with other jewellers. Fill out the form to apply!
Our Independent Residents area is perfect for jewellers wanting a little more room. These are individual studios, measuring 4m x 2m, giving you plenty of space to work while you continue with your craft. These perfectly sized areas are the ideal place to grow and flourish while still being immersed in our Vanilla Ink family. Great for yourself or even to share with another maker or two! They are essentially a blank canvas that you are free to fill yourself, building the wee workshop of your dreams! Fill in the form, get yourself on our waiting list and make it happen!
Our studios are easily accessible via public transport with two train stations just minutes away (Bridgeton and Bellgrove) while we are also on the main bus routes.
On the occasions that we are full, space in our studios may often take a while to become available. There is no harm in putting your name down now if you are a student, for example. If space comes up and you’re not ready you can simply decline or defer.
