Do you like making silver rings? How about making three? We’re far too kind! This Taster Experience at Vanilla Ink CIC in Glasgow lets you design and make your very own set of three silver skinny stacking rings.

You’ll learn to shape, solder and finish each ring by hand, experimenting with twisted, textured or oxidised finishes to make your stack completely unique. Whether you wear them all together or mix and match, you’ll leave with a gorgeous trio you made yourself.

Can I do this class?

Absolutely! This is one of our classic entry-level sessions, perfect for complete beginners. You don’t need any experience, just enthusiasm and a love of making. And if you’ve already had a go at jewellery before, you’ll still enjoy getting stuck in and building your own stack.

What happens?

You’ll be guided through the core techniques of jewellery making, including:

• Sawing and annealing

• Shaping and forming

• Soldering and finishing

You’ll get hands-on with hammers, saws and a bit of FIRE 🔥 while learning to make rings that truly reflect your style.

What do I need to bring?

You don’t need to bring anything with you as we will provide all the equipment and materials needed. Everyone will have their own bench with access to all the tools required to make the rings.

Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.

If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!
