Level Three Weekend
Level Three Weekend
Tell me about it
Another weekend class, woo hoo! This is another intense course designed to give you a deeper look and awareness into the world of jewellery making. Level Three Weekend Sessions are over two days, split into AM and PM sections each lasting three hours. Another step up from the Level Two Jewellery Making course, it's designed to help advance your knowledge and broaden your skillset.
We know that not everyone can commit to the same morning or evening spread over two months, so now’s your chance to grasp that file and learn the craft you’ve been dreaming of for years!
This class differs from the Block Classes as it’s solely for learning and doesn’t lead onto making your own projects. This allows us to give you a really intense burst of training, cramming in as much as we can rather than being a bit more mellow over the eight weeks. We will also be working exclusively in silver, rather than training in copper. This will mean you’ll leave with LOADS of top-class fine jewellery by the Sunday evening.
From here you can then go on to our Level Four & Five Block Classes or even our entry-level Professional Classes, like Introduction to Stone Setting, Finishing School and Wax Carving, etc. You’re so talented!
Can I do this class?
If you have a wee bit of experience in jewellery making and have attended our Level One and Level Two course or have learned elsewhere, this is for you. If you are unsure just get in touch!
What happens?
Sat AM - Wax carving [ring & pendant]
Sat PM - Sand casting [cast the waxes carved AM]
Sun AM - Bezel set cabochon pendant
Sun PM - Make a copper spoon
What do I need to bring?
We will email you our Level Three Manual ahead of the class, please bring this digitally or printed out. Also a sketchbook or something for taking notes etc.
You don’t need to bring anything with you as we will provide all equipment. Everyone will have their own bench with access to all the tools and materials required to make jewellery.
Please wear long hair tied up [or bring something to do so], don’t wear open-toed shoes and keep loose-fitting clothing to a minimum.
If you need glasses to see things close up, please bring them with you. Making jewellery is fiddly!
