Level Three? Completed it, mate. Now you want more… and rightly so. This eight-week Level Four block at Vanilla Ink CIC in Glasgow is designed to build on your impressive skills, introducing new materials, techniques, and ideas to push your making even further.

Each weekly three-hour session deepens your understanding of advanced jewellery processes. The first four weeks are dedicated to learning exciting new techniques, and the final four weeks focus on personal project work, with one-to-one support from our expert tutors.

This block is all about confidence, creativity, and craftsmanship, an absolutely thrilling deep dive into the art of contemporary jewellery making. From here, you’ll be ready to join our Professional Classes, such as Intro to Stone Setting, Finishing School, or Wax Carving.

Can I do this class?

This class is for those who have experience in jewellery making and have completed our Level Three course [or equivalent training elsewhere]. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right fit, just get in touch and we’ll help you find your perfect level.

What happens?

During the first half of the block, you’ll explore advanced techniques, including:

• Titanium Taster Session

• Make a Slider Pendant (Bezel Setting)

• Keum Boo Taster Session

• Make a Cuttlefish Cast Ring

In the final four weeks, you’ll design and make your own jewellery pieces, taking everything you’ve learned so far and turning it into your most accomplished work yet.

What do I need to bring?

We’ll email you our Level Four Manual before your first class, please bring it digitally or printed, along with a sketchbook for notes and design planning.

All materials are provided for the first four weeks. Everyone has their own fully equipped bench, and we’ll help you plan and source materials for your personal projects in the second half of the block.

Please tie back long hair, avoid open-toed shoes, and wear fitted clothing. If you need glasses for close-up work, bring them along, the details are everything.
