Level Three Jewellery Making

Level Three Jewellery Making
Tell me about it
You’ve got the basics down, now it’s time to deepen your skills and push your craft further. Our eight-week Level Three block at Vanilla Ink CIC in Glasgow is designed to expand your technical knowledge, design confidence, and creative awareness.
Each three-hour weekly class builds on the techniques from Levels One and Two, introducing more advanced processes and design approaches. During the first four weeks, you’ll learn complex new skills, and for the final four, you’ll develop your own designs with one-to-one guidance from our tutors. How decadent!
From here, you can progress to Level Four or Five, or step into our Professional Classes, like Intro to Stone Setting, Finishing School, or Wax Carving. Look at you go, you talented maker!
Can I do this class?
If you’ve completed our Level One and Level Two courses, or have equivalent jewellery-making experience, this class is for you. You’ll already be comfortable at the bench, ready to refine your skills and explore more advanced processes. If you’re unsure, just get in touch and we’ll help you decide.
What happens?
Over the first four weeks, you’ll learn intermediate-to-advanced techniques, including:
Wax Carving Taster Session
Sand Casting
Copper Spoon Making
Bezel Setting a Cabochon Stone
For the final four weeks, you’ll design and create your own jewellery pieces, bringing together everything you’ve learned so far.
What do I need to bring?
We’ll email you our Level Three Manual before your first class, please bring it digitally or printed, along with a sketchbook for notes and designs.
All materials are provided for the first four weeks. You’ll have your own fully equipped bench, and we’ll help you plan and source materials for your personal projects in the second half of the block.
Please tie back long hair, avoid open-toed shoes, and wear fitted clothing. If you need glasses for close work, bring them… there’s plenty of detail in this one!
