Another weekend class? Woo hoo! Our Level Three Weekend Course at Vanilla Ink CIC in Glasgow is an intensive two-day experience designed to deepen your understanding of jewellery making and expand your creative skillset.

A natural step up from Level Two, this course takes you through more complex processes, teaching you how to carve, cast, form, and set with confidence. It’s fast-paced, hands-on, and absolutely packed with skill-building, perfect for makers who love a challenge.

Like our other weekend courses, this one focuses purely on learning rather than personal projects. Working mainly in silver, you’ll cram in loads of new techniques and walk away on Sunday evening with a sparkling collection of fine jewellery [and probably a big grin].

From here, you can continue your journey with our Level Four & Five Block Classes or step into Professional Classes like Introduction to Stone Setting, Finishing School, or Wax Carving. You’re so talented!

Can I do this class?

If you’ve already completed our Level One and Level Two courses, or have equivalent experience elsewhere, you’re ready for this. You’ll already be comfortable at the bench, and now’s your chance to refine your skills, explore new materials, and make something truly special.

What happens?

Across the weekend, you’ll work through four creative, hands-on sessions:

Saturday AM: Wax Carving [ring & pendant]
Saturday PM: Sand Casting [cast your waxes from the morning]
Sunday AM: Bezel Set Cabochon Pendant
Sunday PM: Make a Copper Spoon

Each project builds your confidence and skill, blending design, technique, and finishing to create a well-rounded maker experience.

What do I need to bring?

We’ll email you our Level Three Manual before the course, please bring it digitally or printed, plus a sketchbook or notebook for ideas and notes.

All tools, materials and silver are provided. You’ll have your own bench space with full access to equipment.

Please tie back long hair, avoid open-toed shoes, and wear fitted clothing. If you need glasses for close-up work, bring them along, jewellery making is detailed stuff!
