DaDo Laser Welder Demonstration
DaDo Laser Welder Demonstration
Tell me about it
Are you intrigued by laser welders and the incredible work they can do? Then allow the team at FreeForm Fabrication to introduce you to the wonder that is the DaDo Laser Welder!
Can I do this class?
This is a demonstration class aimed at professional jewellers or advanced amateurs who are seriously considering investing in one of the DaDo machines.
What happens?
To kick off the session, there will be an overview of Freeform and an introduction to the lasers. Following that, here’s what happens:
A demonstration of how to use the DaDo, including maintenance tips and tricks.
To help participants get familiar with the DaDo, they’ll use laser-engraved DaDo targets to get their aim correct through the Microscope.
Finally, participants can bring their own laser-related projects to the session. Freeform will be available to answer questions, provide guidance on technique, and offer advice on how to tackle specific aspects of the work.
Additionally, there will be a larger laser hooked up to our TV to demonstrate various techniques and provide participants with a chance to experiment with a more powerful model.

Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring some pieces along with you that require the use of a laser welder. This would include things like re-tipping, chain repair, jump rings, or fixing bad casts. Lasers are also fantastic for tacking tricky-to-solder things together or using around gemstones that can’t take a great deal of heat.
