Water Casting is a beautiful organic process that relies on the conflicting elements of fire and water to determine your outcome. In this two hour class, we will show you how to melt silver to create a water cast pendant, pin or pair of earrings. Nothing to be afraid of, just chuck it in a bucket!

Who is it for?

This class is for complete beginners. Good hand-eye coordination is needed as is good hand dexterity.

What will I learn?

In this experimental process, we’ll take you through the steps of using the torch, melting your metal and pouring it into the water. Don’t worry if you don’t like what you create, we can keep going until you’re happy! Within reason, of course, stop being a diva and give someone else a turn, eh? Next, you will be taken through the stages of turning the cast into a pin or a necklace. You then get to pick a finish of your choice, polished, matte or oxidised.
