Vanilla Ink invites students who have already started their journey into jewellery making to revise their practice and skill up during the second of our Summer School courses which is based on our Intermediate 1 course but condensed into one week.

Situated at the fully-equipped Vanilla Ink Jewellery School, the course will be a week-long intensive look at processes, techniques and skills designed to increase your ability and confidence before heading back to college, uni or your own bench.

This is for those who have done Summer School 1 or our Beginners course (or completed a similar course elsewhere) an intense one week course, designed to revitalise and rejuvenate the memory, while brushing up on skills and preparing for you next extensive learning.

Course Content

In this week we will look at creating and bezel setting stones, scoring & folding, press forming, an introduction to enamelling, water casting, plus much more! The last two days you’ll be invited to experiment and make your own piece(s) with our guidance.

This course is for those that have experience in making either at Vanilla Ink or through another learning provider. All tools and base metals are provided within the course. Remember to bring a sketchbook! Feel free to bring your own silver and your own tools if you prefer. We will work with you to help you order materials for Thursday and Friday. The workshop will be closed for lunch between 1pm-2pm.
