As part of our INKubator Programme, we introduce you to new ways of thinking about your business, with the branding workshop always being one of the highlights for our INKers. Branding is more than the graphic you associate yourself with - it’s your business’ personality, how you communicate with your audience, what touch points you have, etc - it is more than just a logo! We bring in branding experts ilka to our Programme, who run a workshop that inspires you to step outside your comfort zone.
Our ‘Get INKspired’ blog series welcomes Lisa from ilka to chat about their role in the INKubator Programme.

Inspirational examples, sensory experiences, customer understanding and strategic conversation.
VI: What’s the biggest misconception of Branding?
You need a logo.
VI: What one piece of advice would you give to someone developing their creative career?
Take time to understand your business, what you stand for and who you are talking to. There is a lot of information out there so you need to make your message clear, simple and consistent from the beginning.
VI: Do you have any tips for anyone thinking about taking part in the INKubator Programme?
It’s an opportunity to rethink your practice and your approach.
Quick fire round;
SketchBook or Computer?
Kindle or Book?
Super organised or last minute madness?
Tea or Coffee?
Shared workspace or work best on your own?
PC or Mac?
Inked or Clean?
Words to live your life by? Keep it simple. Stare at a fire, sniff the sea, pat a dog.
If you want to spend nine months immersed in your business, challenging your ideas and aspirations, sharing skills, building knowledge and gaining more confidence around what you do and make, the INKbuator is definitely for you.
