We thought we would let you in on what we have been doing lately.
Since we received funding at the start of May we have been working extremely hard to get the studios up and running. Our aim was to have the studios ready for DJCAD's recent 4th years by the end of May. Knowing that they would be in need of a place to work in the run up to New Designers.
So for the next month we have the lovely, friendly faces of 10 DJCAD jewellers. They moved in last week and it was so nice to see the workshop filled with people and the tip tap tapping was music to my ears.
We plan to have the full Vanilla Ink course (for one year) starting in September so July and August are going be rented out on a monthly or daily basis. We have 10 bench spaces available for monthly rental but 12 spaces all together in our fully equipped workshop in Dundee's industrial quarter.
Use of the workshop for the month will cost you £40 which is all bills including and the daily rate is £6 per day. Monthly studio members will have the benefit of 24hr access with the daily rate members, access will be from 10am-6pm Mon-Fri. It is advised that you come into the workshop with your own insurance which you can purchase for as little as £2.50 a month. The workshops are fully secured and a key will be issued to each monthly renter.

I am so pleased to hear that Vanilla Ink is already helping out new graduates! I'm sure all the recent graduates think Vanilla Ink is a god send and I can't wait to see more images of the space and also of any pieces that are created there!
